Welcome to ADHA's Involvement Opportunities page where you can volunteer for projects that fit your interests, expertise and schedule.

The process is easy!

First, peruse the list of projects in the "Opportunities" list below. To find out more information about a specific project, click on the title of the project. When you are ready to volunteer, click on the specific project you are interested in and click the words "Sign Up". Simple as that.

Opportunities will be posted throughout the year. Please note in order to sign up for an opportunity, you must be a current member of ADHA (unless otherwise noted).

Open Position Notification

International Federation of Dental Hygienists Delegate

In July 2022, the ADHA Board of Trustees will appoint an individual to serve a four-year term as International Federation of Dental Hygienists (IFDH) delegate. Anyone interested in serving the association in this capacity should submit a letter of intent to kathyp@adha.net, and complete the Bio-Data form by 5:00pm CST on Monday, July 1, 2022.

Candidates will be determined according to the following criteria:

• Experience in the IFDH
• Experience in international oral health organizations/agencies
• Commitment to international health endeavors
• Support of the policies of IFDH
• Served as a member of the ADHA Board of Trustees. This will ensure familiarity with ADHA policy, goals, and activities
• Time commitment to the term of office

The delegate will perform the following duties:

• Attend the IFDH meeting and submit a liaison report
• Submit an annual report to ADHA for review at the fall Board of Trustees meeting using the ADHA liaison form
• Prepare articles for publication in the appropriate ADHA publications

NOTE: Current IFDH delegate Kelli Swanson Jaecks is completing her first term and is eligible for one more term.
